In September 2024, producer, rapper, music mogul and businessman Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York and charged with an array of crimes dating back to the 1990s. According to the AP and other news sources, federal prosecutors presented charges that include allegations of sexual coercion and abuse of men and women that worked for him or were artists on his record label. There are also many pending civil lawsuits.

The indictments follow 10 months of public allegations by multiple people, including video footage of him assaulting the R&B singer Cassie in a hotel hallway in 2016. Combs is currently in a New York prison awaiting arraignment in court.

Combs was arrested on September 16th in New York after a grand jury indictment. He pleaded not guilty.
